CRESTWOOD RENOVATION
Located in Washington’s Crestwood neighborhood, the home, originally built in 1938, was reorganized to add modern spaces with a warm feel, abundant daylighting, and a strong connection to its deep rear yard, while maintaining the charm of the existing home. The renovation was sympathetic to the original massing of the home and the circulation between spaces was improved. The result of the renovation project resulted in new space that feels as though it is connected to the original home. Circulation between the new and existing spaces were improved, a modern kitchen and support spaces were added in a way that seems organic to the original home. The small amount of space was added in a way that yielded a large impact and change in the way the clients will use the home. Photos by Peak Visuals.
