BULLFROG ROAD GUESTHOUSE

The original summer kitchen building was restored and added on to create a guesthouse where the clients could accommodate long-term guests and eventually age in-place. The interior was designed with large doors with flush thresholds for easy passage, grab bars and a curbless shower in a style compatible with the original building. The addition mimics the proportions of the original building with a hyphen in between that acts as an entry and a hallway for the half-bathroom. The original beehive oven was restored and salvaged materials installed to allow for wall cavity insulation. A lower level wine and root cellar was added in the basement of the addition.
